One of the hardest parts of being a vision impaired person is that I am not allowed to drive and in today'’s busy world it means I rely on family, friends and public transport to help me get around. It also means I have to be incredibly organised in my time management because the reality is getting from point A to point B takes that much longer and has the potential to really restrict my independence.

(13CABS have clearly noticed my love of activewear, bright yellow tights anyone?!)
There is one other mode of transport that I rely heavily on- cabs. This is why I am so thrilled 13CABS are supporting my Road to Rio. Given I have never had the luxury of a driver’s license I have been using there services for over 13 years now and the taxi drivers I regularly use have become great mates.
They are incredibly reliable, keep me safe, save me significant amounts of time and energy and if I’m on the run it’s SO easy to use the phone application to book, track when my cab is coming, you can even pay using the app (it then emails you the receipt too!) it is so simple… if you haven’t downloaded the app seriously get on it (that’s my top tip for today!)
It is an absolute pleasure for me to join a company who have been there for me for as long as I can remember and who contribute to the community so much.
THANK YOU to 13CABS for making my life that much easier.
