Vision 2020 Australia
Jessica has been global ambassador for Vision 2020 Australia since 2010 and in November 2014 was elected onto the Board of Directors.
Knowing what it is like to lose vision, Jessica wants to ensure others don’t have to lose their sight if they can avoid it. In 2012 she took a life changing trip to Vietnam to see firsthand what the global consortium has achieved.
Vision 2020 is a National Government Organisation with the vision of elimination of avoidable blindness and vision loss by the year 2020 and the full participation of people who are blind or vision impaired in the community.
Vision Australia and Seeing Eye Dogs Australia
Jessica has been an ambassador for these organisations since 2010. VA and SEDA provide services for individuals who are blind or have low vision, helping ensure people are able to live independent lives.
Jessica first came across Vision Australia at the age of 17 when she was diagnosed with cone dystrophy and had become classed as legally blind. They were an essential part in helping her understand what her life was going to be like as a person with low vision.
