Going To Rio: Beyond The Game TV

Before I left Australia I had the privilage of being followed around by the ‘Beyond The Gave TV’ crew to be featured as part of their ‘Going To Rio’ series. The series aims to give viewers an insight into my preperaions and what it has taken for me to transition from an alpine skiier to track cyclist in just 2 years.  It’s a great informative and fun piece… personally I love the fun music that goes alongside it!!!

Jess

Introduction from Beyond The Game TV…

Jess Gallagher is both a Summer and Winter Paralympian, having competed for Australia in Long Jump, Javelin (track & field), Slalom and Giant Slalom (alpine skiing). She has since transitioned to track cycling and in March 2016 became World Champion and the new World Record Holder in the tandem sprint.

In 2010 at the Vancouver Winter Paralympics, Jess became the first Australian women to win a Winter Paralympics medal when she won bronze in the Slalom. She then won another bronze at Sochi in 2014 in the Giant Slalom.

In the last webisode of Going to Rio, we follow Jess in her journey to become the first Australian to win a Paralympic medal in both the summer and winter games.
