True Vision: virtual film screening and panel discussion
A wonderful initiative from the City of Stonnington Disability and Access Committee in hosting it’s first Disability Forum providing opportunity to bring to the forefront important conversations and embark on positive change.
I’m delighted to be involved in their first forum which provides the public an opportunity to see True Vision and join in the discussion around many of the topics raised in the film. Intitially planeed to be held in person the event has shifted online and will run virtually making it even more accessible to the community. I can’t wait to be a part of the panel discussion alongside Diana and Carly after the film’s screening and hope that you can join us! Here’s a snippet about the session…
“Compelling and authentic – True Vision is an exploration of two women on the opposite side of diagnosis dealing with unexpected obstacles, and the perceptions that go hand in hand with diagnosis and disability.
Join us online for our very first Disability Forum in partnership with City of Stonnington Disability and Access Committee.
This special event includes a screening of the film (28 minutes) and a panel discussion facilitated by Australian writer, speaker, and appearance activist, Carly Findlay OAM, with filmmaker and mother Diana Fisk, Australian Paralympian Jessica Gallagher, who both feature in the film, and members from City of Stonnington Disability and Access Committee”.
When: Saturday, 31 July 2021 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
